Understand the 777 race clock

The challenge measures a continuous journey, with individual and team results.

When timing begins

The 168-hour challenge clock begins when the first marathon starts. The intended sequence starts in Antarctica, helping manage weather-dependent travel before the clock begins; the organizer may adapt the operating sequence when conditions require it.

Each race

The published marathon cutoff is eight hours, subject to the race director’s discretion. Individual winners are determined by combined or average times across the seven marathons.

Team results

A team may have more than three members. Its scoring three must complete all seven marathons and include both male and female runners. Team participation does not replace individual results.

Your final participant instructions and approved event terms take priority. Check your dashboard for organizer updates.
